Snacks to Make for Work

Breakfast is really important if you want to feel energetic throughout the day and at work. It’s not only about that, but it’s the easiest way of staying healthy and in a good shape. Although many people are used to take only a glass of water, cereals or a light smoothie, it’s better if you have a richer morning meal. If your work hours start early in the morning, try to prepare your nutritional snacks in the evening, before you go to bed. It won’t take you a lot of time and you’ll have a delicious snack that will give you the energy you need.

1. Tortilla rolls

This is an easy-to-make snack. You will need:

  • 2 Tortillas
  • Hummus/Avocado/Beans Spread (or by your choice)
  • Mustard
  • 1 Carrot (chopped on sticks)
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • Tofu/Parmesan/Edam Cheese
  • 1 Boiled Egg

Spread the hummus, avocado or beans spread onto the tortilla and add one tsp. of mustard on top of this, place four medium-thick pieces of cheese. Add the carrot sticks, cut the pepper and the boiled egg and place them over the cheese. Try to add the ingredients in a way that will let you roll the tortilla and cut it into pieces (rolls) with the same size. 2. Pizza bread slices

Who said that pizza is only for the nights when you’re chilling and watching a TV Show or a good movie? Here’s a version of pizza that you can bring at work. For this snack, you’ll need:

  • 1 Baguette
  • Parmesan and Gouda Cheese (or any type of cheese that you can find in the fridge)
  • Salami
  • Red pepper
  • Sweet corn
  • Olive Oil
  • Rosemary and Basil

Cut the baguette in same-sized pieces and smear a light layer of olive oil over every piece. Season the bread slices with rosemary and basil (if you have, you can use fresh leaves). Let the olive oil to soak up into the bread (it will keep the bread moist, yet it’ll make it crunchy when baked). On each of the slices, place cheese and salami, then add corn and pieces of red pepper. Add some grated Parmesan and place the bread slices on a baking paper in a baking tray.
