To many people, salads are the torture part of every meal. They say there’s no point in eating something that resembles weed or that is defined as something between fruit and a veggie. Well, maybe the fruity veggie or vegetable fruit hasn’t decided its “whatever” orientation! Ha-ha. OK, let’s get serious. Salads are awesome and to those who hate it, well broccoli hates you too! Nah, we still don’t sound serious.
How about discussing salad dressings? We know you love this one, because you can’t say no an avocado and lemon dressing, right.
Dressings, or as we like to call them, salad flavoring perfumes, are what makes that veggie you hate the most edible and fantastic – so fantastic that it makes you forget about your strong hater towards it.
Homemade salad dressings are something that you should add in your cooking skills. No, writing them down in your recipes notebook doesn’t count as “owning” them. You gotta make these! You ask, why? Well, first because you’re going to save money, then because you’re going to surprise your loved ones and because you’ll make that salad hater to start appreciating greens, roots and beans, and because you’ll eat healthier. Yeah, those dressings you buy in the supermarket may look all classy, wellness-friendly and gut-keepers like, but actually, they’re full of palm oil, additives and gut irritants.
Here are out favorite dressing ingredients and tips on how to combine them to create the most delicious homemade salad sauces.
